In the grim dark future, there is only... bags

Howdy folks, it is time for another update.  Last week I showed off a few bags featuring the My Little Pony FiM theme but today we travel to the grim dark future.  I have received several commissions for bags featuring icons from that universe and new ones come in each week.  As wargames go, it is one of the most popular out there.  You may notice I am not mentioning a specific name, well anyone familiar with the company will understand why.  Regardless they prove to be a popular theme for bag commissions.  Here are a few more recent ones as well as previews of some test embroidery for upcoming commissions.

My choice of background noise can be seen behind the bag.

As always if you are interested in commissioning a bag of getting one of the bags shown, please feel free to contact me for details.  Stay tuned for next week when I post up something new I have been working on.

Bags of Friendship

With my introduction aside I feel it is time to start showing off the various bags I have been working on.  Today's bags came about as a result of a friend needing a dice bag.  I will admit that I am what you would term a "Brony" so when my friend needed a bag to store his dice and tokens for the My Little Pony CCG, I took it upon myself to help him out.  Now pictures of that first bag elude me at this time but suffice to say he loved it.  Soon friends and other bronies saw his bag and wanted one for themselves.  As pony themed bags were proving to be quite popular I thought to myself, "why not make a line of bags for the gamer Brony".  Thus with that idea in mind I started making some bags so they could get a bag without the wait that custom work entails.

This is the Pinkie Pie bag featuring the colors of that bubbly mare as well as her distinct cutie mark.  The bag features my standard of high quality outer fabric and soft flannel liner.  The cord is tough paracord in a corresponding color.  The embroidery is done directly on to the outer fabric before the bag is stitched together ensuring durability.  The bags have a squared bottom to allow them to stand unsupported and make getting dice easier.

This is just one of a series of bags in what I call, well the Cutie Mark series.  To date I have done bags for all the Mane Six as well as several of the "background" ponies.  These include Luna, Trixie, Sunset Shimmer, and my personal favorite Derpy to name a few.  Expect to see pictures of them from time to time.

Now not everyone wants an embroidered bag so I decided to offer more basic bags.  These examples just happened to fit in to the pony theme but are made using the same high quality as my embroidered bags.  They feature themed fabric without embroidery.

That is all for today but stay tuned for my update next week as I go into some recent new designs featuring icons from the "Grim Dark Future".  If you are interested in getting a bag like the ones shown or would like to commission a custom bag, please leave a message.

An Introduction...

Howdy folks and welcome to my new blog.  This blog will be following my custom dice bag business as well as my adventures with my sewing machine.  The blog will feature updates on new creations including updates regarding my business.  Without further adieu, how about I talk a bit about what prompted this new endeavor.

I am what you would call a creative person.  I enjoy making things whether it be terrain for my tabletop wargaming hobby to making a bag to carry around my card game decks or even making plushies for a friend.  Not too long ago I was needing a new dice bag for my Bolt Action army and decided to try my hand at making one myself.  I snagged some fabric and voila! dice bag.
Not content with a plain dicebag I decided to try something different.  I borrowed a family member's embroidery machine, found an embroidery program, and went about making something a little more fancy.  After some trial and error I completed my first embroidered dice bag.
The bag featured Derpy from MLP:FiM and she signified a lot of my dice rolls in my games.  With that I was hooked.  Since then I have gotten my own machine and began making dice bags for friends.  Recently my friends have encouraged me to start selling my bags and offering custom commissions.  That was some good advice so here I am with this blog.

That is enough for today so stay tuned for my next update where I will go into the specifics of my bags as well as showing off a few recent commissions.  If you have any questions or are interested in getting a custom dice bag, please feel free to message me.
